Omarchy Desktop

Personal desktop integrations that bring my Google Calendar and Gmail to my Linux desktop.

Omarchy Desktop is the Google sign-in shared by two open-source plugins for the Omarchy desktop. Both run on my own computer.

Calendar widget

Built on omarchy-calendar. It replaces the clock in the status bar with a calendar-aware clock.

• A month view with events marked on each day, and the selected day's agenda underneath.
• A heads-up in the bar shortly before the next event, and a Join button for video meetings.
• Creating, editing and deleting my own events from the desktop.

Mail client

Built on Omamail. It's a keyboard-driven email and calendar window with an unread count in the status bar.

• Reading, searching and triaging Gmail: labels, archive, trash and spam reporting.
• Writing, replying to and sending mail, with an undo-send delay.
• Answering meeting invitations and viewing my calendar.
• Desktop notifications for new mail.

Who it is for

This is a single-user application. It runs only on my own computer and signs in only to my own Google account. It is not offered to the public, and there is nothing to sign up for.

How it uses Google data

The app signs in with Google OAuth. The calendar widget requests calendar.readonly and calendar.events. The mail client requests gmail.modify, gmail.send, calendar.events and calendar.calendarlist.readonly.

Mail and calendar data is stored only on my computer. It is not sent to any server other than Google's, except to an AI assistant when I explicitly ask it about a message. The privacy policy has the details.
